Fog Chemistry, Ammonia measurements and sources, gas-particle partitioning in the atmosphere.
Biosketch

I joined the Collett group in January 2009. My research activities at CSU focus on:

  • Using URG system monitored trace gases and chemical composition of PM2.5 in the Upper Green River Basin, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park.   Investigated their sources, chemical behaviors, transpiration and the gas/particle partitioning in the atmosphere.
  • Using passive samplers and meteorological tower (NOAA) in Erie, Colorado explored the vertical distributions of ammonia. Its sources, its relationship to meteorological conditions, and other factors.
  • Used an Atomic Absorption Spectrometer to analyze concentrations of metal Ions in fog water collected in Mountain Tai, China.

During my M.S. studied at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, I was a member of the research group of Professor Zhu.   I participated in several atmospheric research projects in Nanjing and Shanghai, China, combining field observations and atmospheric modeling (STEMII) to study the distribution of urban air pollutants and their effects on the chemical characteristics of the fog water.
